Evanston Gallery Uses Precious Stones against Parkinson’s Disease
Evanston, IL — Diamonds become a weapon against disease in the hands of Eve J. Alfillé of Eve J. Alfillé Gallery and Studio. The Evanston jewelry gallery is hosting a fundraiser to help support research into a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
Alfillé will blend the holiday spirit of helping others with the joy of giving beautifully, enduring Eve Alfillé treasures. Ten percent of the sales from the event will be donated to Team Fox, the grassroots fundraising arm of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, to help fund important research for the disease. Parkinson’s disease is estimated to affect more than five million people worldwide and has no known cure to date.
The fundraiser, which will take place on December 7th from noon-6pm, will showcase new fine art jewelry, as well as feature original handmade pieces from Alfillé’s work. The pieces featured for the fundraiser focus particularly on diamonds, though there is no end to the variety in the types of jewelry. The event also features a raffle for jewelry from Eve Alfillé and an art glass piece designed by Diane Alfillé, providing the opportunity to take home a wonderful treasure for holiday gift-giving.
But there is more to the holiday joy than the glamour of precious stones.
Eve J. Alfillé Gallery and Studio plans to put more than diamonds to work in the battle against Parkinson’s. The gallery will partner with ‘Make It Better Media’, to raise even more funds for the charity. Each new subscription to the ‘Make It Better’ email newsletter made at the fundraiser will generate a five dollar donation to Team Fox, making it easy for anyone to help make a difference for those in need. People are also welcome to make direct contributions to Team Fox during the event.
Refreshments will be served during the fundraiser. To RSVP, contact 847-869-7920 or email email@example.com.
